Pop singer and actress Christina Aguilera was detained early Tuesday “to guarantee her safety” after her rumored boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of driving along the influence, authorities said.

Aguilera, 30, must have been a passenger inside of a car which was stopped about 2:45 a.m. (5:45 a.m. ET) in West Hollywood, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said inside a news release.

“The driving force, Matthew Rutler, was firm to get driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested,” the statement said.

Considering that the singer wasn’t qualified to look after herself “and no-one was available to ensure her safety, Aguilera was taken into custody,” the statement said.

The dept “stressed she wasn’t involved with any criminality and belief be released when she can safely value herself.”

However, the sheriff’s department website indicated she was being saved in lieu of $250 bail.

Rutler’s bail was for a $30,000, based on the website.

Aguilera divorced Jordan Bratman earlier this year.

Justin Bieber finally won a trophy in L.A.

The teen singing sensation, who was shut out with the Grammys, was chosen most precious player despite playing for any losing team in the NBA All-Star celebrity game on Friday night.

Bieber had eight points, four assists and two rebounds for your West team, which lost 54-49 to the East for the La Convention Center.

Justin Bieber made eight points but losted a last-minute 3-pointer which has tied Friday’s All-Star celebrity game.

Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen led the Bill Walton-coached East team with 17 points in a game whose defensive highlight might have been Pippen’s third-quarter block of Bieber.

The vertically challenged Bieber scampered throughout the court, his famous shaggy ‘do bouncing with every step as girls shrieked for the sight.

“He has the softest hair,” marveled former L a Laker Rick Fox, who patted his West teammate Bieber on the head in the course of the game.

In a black T-shirt under his red-and-white jersey, Bieber spent most of the game hitching up his shorts that fell well below the knee. His pregame stretching included trying, but failing, to the touch his toes.

Bieber showed off some slick moves, dribbling behind his back, and driving and dishing to taller partner and ESPN analyst Jalen Rose. Bieber fed A.C. Green for any game’s first basket, and also the singer later hit a 3-pointer.

“I’m just running back plus forth,” Bieber said during an in-game interview. “I’m controlling this whole team. I’m just kidding.”

With actor Jamie Foxx and Lakers star Lamar Odom watching, Bieber missed a 3-pointer that would have tied it with 30 seconds to go. Afterward, the 16-year-old was hurried off court by burly security guards.

Bieber’s week began when he lost from his two Grammy nominations at Staples Center. But things bought with another TV guest appearance on “CSI” and his “Never Say Never” concert movie was No. 2 at the box office.

Bieber’s celebrity teammates were Zac Levi of “Chuck,” R&B singer Trey Songz, rapper Romeo Miller, and Rob Kardashian, whose sister Khloe is married to Odom.

“He didn’t embarrass the family,” Odom said afterward.

Besides Rob and Khloe, who stood out in skintight leopard leggings, the Kardashian clan was represented by their stepfather Bruce Jenner and Khloe’s half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

WNBA player Swin Cash was around the West team coached by Magic Johnson.

Celebs around the East team were actor and comedian Nick Cannon, Jason Sudeikis of “Saturday Night Live,” rapper and actor Common, and Michael Rapaport of “Pound Puppies.”

These were bolstered because of the shooting prowess of former NBA players Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin, and WNBA player Tamika Catchings.

Britney Spears is back! The pop princess debuted the music video for her new single, “Hold It Against Me,” on MTV and Vevo.com on Thursday night — and the sexy singer definitely brought her A-game!

In the video — ripe with fast cuts and mutliple glaring product placements (including her fragrance Radiance, Makeup Forever, Sony, and also the online dating site PlentyOfFish.com) — a lean, glammed-up Britney gives the impression prowling across the futuristic space, surrounded by various TV equipment and rocking a white bridal-esque gown, before slowly ascending toward the ceiling. Brit then shows off her famous abs in their signature white midriff-baring crop-top and her itty-bitty denim cut-off shorts.

Next, it’s a Britney-on-Britney catfight because the singer seems to wage war on… herself (in stilettos, or course), before shooting neon-colored paint for the surrounding TV monitors from her fingertips, flinging color throughout her formerly pristine white gown (think: Willow Smith‘s “Whip My Hair).

Brit also rocks a black leather mini-dress for any video’s high-energy dance sequence.

In January, “Hold It’s” choreographer Brian Friedman – the mastermind in support of superstar’s “Boys” and “Me To the Music” moves – teased fans by announcing he was ready to “get [Britney] dancing hard again.”

“She’s come up with a couple of years where she’s been dancing different styles of dance and it hasn’t been me,” Brian told MTV News at the time. “It’s not necessarily that he hasn’t been dancing, it hasn’t been a few things i get from her, and what I seem to get from her is this tigress quality. And he or she prowls.

“She really dominates when she does my choreography, and that’s what I wanted to restore a relationship,” he added.

The choreographer faced a bit of heat from Britney’s legions of fans on Thursday (after having a 30-second teaser for your video produced) who felt Britney’s footwork didn’t live up to Brian’s boasting.

“Britney Fans… I DIDN’T edit or direct the video so please do not place hostility at me in case you aren’t satisfied with what you have seen or see,” Brian Tweeted on Thursday. “Britney worked her a– off for this video and he or she and I hope which you all am passionate about it.

“Thank U every1 4 the support ,” he later added. “I haven’t seen the vid yet, all I know is how Brit was on set & she was FAB! FEMME FATALE will be incredible!”

“Hold It Against Me” would be the first single from Brit’s upcoming album, “Femme Fatale,” which is slated to drop March 29.

After 11 nominations, R&B singer Fantasia finally won a Grammy on Sundayfor best female vocal performance, but the American Idol winner was not in attendance to just accept the award. Why? Because she felt slighted that he wasn’t invited to live for a long time the Aretha Franklin tribute.

Fanny called in to BET’s 106 & Park on Monday and revealed to hosts Rocsi and Terrence how unhappy she was together with the award show. The “American Idol” champion won her first Grammy Award on Sunday night but didn’t attend the ceremony because she wasn’t asked to be part of the duty

“I’m shall be very honest on hand. You understand I wasn’t with the Grammys last night. I’m kind of having my very own little thing. … Last night we were looking at honoring someone that is my idol, Aretha Franklin, and there is no way I can have sat there but not got the happy feet and wanting to jump on your mic because she actually is the most popular therefore i felt like, you recognize, when it comes right down to it I should have been on that stage so, I kind of did my very own little thing last night.

“I watched Cee Lo’s performance, I love Cee Lo, love Gaga, watched Gaga, and I love Rihanna‘s performance, however you variety of cooked and did mine think last night and was inside my own world and desired which i won. I have this sense, like every year I go, I believe like they generally look over a number of the good singers which might be still around and I’m not seeking to be funny but that’s only the way I had been.”

Instead, Christina Aguilera, Yolanda Adams, Jennifer Hudson, Florence from Florence and the Machine and Martina McBride participated at the tribute.

When asked about her reaction to winning, finally, this is what Fantasia had the need to say:

“Actually I scared my daughter because I just bust out and started crying, and she thought something was wrong with me. You know it’s been a long time coming… at the end of the day its been a long time coming for me and I have been through a lot of things so when Brian called me (my manager accepted the award for me), I just bust out started crying because I felt like, man, I wasn’t gonna stop until I got one and I’m still not going to stop and you know this has just given me motivation to do my own thing. So, I just started crying and just thanking God that finally, eleven times nominated, finally I got one.”

Fantasia won the award for “Bittersweet“, a track off her latest album, Back to Me.

Beyoncé Knowles would check out some lengths in order to avoid being recognised.

But she almost managed it while shopping in Hollywood this week due to a fresh fairer look – and not her newly bleach-blonde hair.

The 29-year-old singer’s skin also looked much lighter than usual as she showed off her long, bare legs in a set of £635 jade suede Daffodile heels by Christian Louboutin.

It will have been a trick of the light, however, as anyone expert claimed the fairer tone was unlikely to be the results of Miss Knowles – whose father Matthew is African-American and whose mother Tina is mixed-race – bleaching her skin.

Dr Sunil Chopra, a expert dermatologist for the London Dermatology Centre, said: ‘The simplest skin-lightening agents are hydroquinone and kojic acid, creams which patients refer to the skin.

‘The effects are temporary and work by inhibiting the enzyme … liable for the skin’s pigment. Both are very popular. I see maybe three people every week who want this method.

‘But it does not be used over the whole body. Everything is so unlikely she has had her skin bleached in this manner.’

This solution is not the first time that your particular lighter-looking skin tone has drawn attention with the former Destiny’s Child singer, that is set to headline this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

In August 2008, L’Oreal was accused of ‘whitewashing’ the star in a single advert by digitally lightening her skin.

Whenever, the cosmetics house denied that the pictures were altered in a way but The Ny Post newspaper called the advert ‘shocking’ and accused it of creating the singer – that is married to fellow U.S. music star Jay-Z – seem like a ‘weird, nearly white edition of herself’.

Last night a spokesman for Miss Knowles refused to comment on state-of-the-art speculation.

Jessica Alba is becoming in on Hollywood’s baby boom!

The Little Fockers star, 29, revealed on her Facebook page Wednesday that he and hubby Cash Warren, 32, predict their second child.

“I thought I’d drop by to let you all in on some exciting news — Honor is going to be a Big Sister!” the actress wrote. “Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn’t hear about it somewhere else.”

Nevertheless the star played coy pastfall when UsMagazine.com asked if and when they were trying to add on on their brood — “We are most certainly enjoying [Honor],” she said — she couldn’t help gushing when it came to her two-year-old daughter.

“She picks out her clothes,” Alba told Us. “Usually it’s a big boy shirt with a princess dress. She always wants to wear her little plastic high heel shoes or she likes to wear my heels.”

In an uber-revealing, uber-melodramatic interview in GQ, the country star,  Billy Ray Cyrus, blames “Hannah Montana” and the evils of Hollywood for tearing his family apart.

His heart is achy, breaky and bitter.

“I’ll tell you right away — the damn show destroyed me,” Billy tells the magazine. “And that i sit there and that i go, ‘Yeah, you know what? Some gave all.’ It s my motto, and guess what? I need to eat that you. I some gave-all’d the whole thing right. I some-gave all’d it while everybody else would the provider. It’s all sad.”

When asked whether he viewed his family as under attack by Satan, the God-fearing singer and showbiz dad responds: “I believe we’re immediately. Little question. There’s no doubt about this. … There has always been a battle between good and evil. Always shall be. You think that, ‘This is a chance to create family entertainment, bring families together … ‘ and search what it’s changed into.”

Cyrus’ personal life works shambles: He filed for divorce from wife Tish last October amid reports she cheated with Bret Michaels, of the total number of people. He fears for future years of his megastar daughter, Miley, as she grows up and make mistakes within the public eye.

“I’m scared for her,” he says. “She’s got lots of people around her that’s putting her inside a lots of danger. I understand she’s 18, however you still feel like as her daddy I’d just like for yourself try to help. At the very least get her away from danger. I want to get her sheltered from storm. Stop the insanity for just a minute.”

Cyrus regrets which he treated Miley just like a friend and not a parent; when she recently celebrated her 18th birthday at a nightclub in L.A., he put his foot down and refused to allow.

“That it was wrong,” he complains. “It had been for 21 years old or even more. … I said, ‘This whole thing’s falling apart up there and that they want to blame all of this stuff with you again.’ I’m staying from it.”

Fired up, Cyrus rambles on about such casualties of fame as Michael Jackson, Anna Nicole Smith and Kurt Cobain, drawing a comparatively bizarre analogy relating to the late Nirvana frontman (who committed suicide) with his fantastic “Party In the U.S.A.” daughter (who seems legitimately confident and self-loving).

“That’s why I’m concerned about Miley,” he says, touching on Cobain. “I feel that his world was just spinning so fast and he had so many around him that didn’t help him. Like Anna Nicole Smith — you could possibly see that train wreck coming. I had been actually seeking to call Anna Nicole Smith, because I kept telling Tish and everyone around me, going, ‘This is often a disaster.’ Michael Jackson — I used to be seeking to reach out to Michael Jackson. I knew he had kids, and I would definitely invite his kids right down to a taping of “Hannah” — We simply felt it would be beneficial to Michael.”

Lest many of us brand Cyrus a less evil, equally oversharey edition of Michael Lohan (in relation to by using media to get his message across to Miley), he works some preemptive damage control in to the GQ interview.

“For your record,” he says, “to set it straight, I want to inform you: I’ve never designed a dime off Miley. You bought lots of people make percentages off of her. I’m proud to say for this day I’ve never made one commissioned dollar, or dime, off of my daughter.”

Author JK Rowling has donated money for 10 million pounds to establish a treatment and research clinic patients ‘multiple sclerosis’, a disease that attacks the brain and has taken the lives of his mother.

Author’s of Harry Potter is hoping the clinic will be a center of research experts in the field of regenerative neurology. He said “Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic” will be located at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

“I just turned that into-45, the age when my mother, Anne, died of complications from multiple sclerosis disease,” said Rowling. “I know she wants her name to this clinic than the name of a park or sculpture, this donation on behalf of her, form my thanks to her,” said Rowling.

The university said the gift from Rowling is the largest donation ever received by an individual. “This donation means so much to study disease multiple sclerosis,” said Timothy O’Shea, head of the University of Edinburgh.

Rowling is a long time resident in the capital of Scotland. Rowling’s mother died at age 45 in 1990, before Rowling became famous through his novel Harry Potter.

“American Idol” packed its results show with lots of entertainment beyond just Usher, who also acted as mentor to the contestants this week.

Unsurprisingly, it was Diddy Dirty Money who delivered the most over-the-top performance, complete with violins, a staircase, dry ice effects, strobe lights and his signature white clothes.

Part ’90s throwback, part aerobicized routine, “Hello Good Morning” was all attitude. It kept us entertained, but was it good?

Rewinding to the top of the hour, we were treated to “American Idol” winner Ruuuuuuuben Studdard’s return with a strong and assured performance of his “Don’t Make ‘Em Like You No More.”

Healthier and happier, he did a creditable job, doing the “Idol” name proud.

Oh, and as a bonus, right before his performance was the hilarious “Clash of the Titans” meets “American Idol” trailer mashup. Simon Cowell is to be feared!
