Christina Aguilera taken into custody after her rumored boyfriend’s arrest

Pop singer and actress Christina Aguilera was detained early Tuesday “to guarantee her safety” after her rumored boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of driving along the influence, authorities said.
Aguilera, 30, must have been a passenger inside of a car which was stopped about 2:45 a.m. (5:45 a.m. ET) in West Hollywood, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said inside a news release.
“The driving force, Matthew Rutler, was firm to get driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested,” the statement said.
Considering that the singer wasn’t qualified to look after herself “and no-one was available to ensure her safety, Aguilera was taken into custody,” the statement said.
The dept “stressed she wasn’t involved with any criminality and belief be released when she can safely value herself.”

However, the sheriff’s department website indicated she was being saved in lieu of $250 bail.
Rutler’s bail was for a $30,000, based on the website.
Aguilera divorced Jordan Bratman earlier this year.
