Maura West wins the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress. West has been nominated two times for Outstanding Supporting Actress since she’s played the role of Carly Tenney in 1995.

Maura Jo West was born on April 27, 1972 in Springfield, Massachusetts, U.S.She is best known for her role as Carly Snyder on the American television soap opera As the World Turns.

She was nominated four times for Outstanding Lead Actress and once for a special Daytime Emmy for Irresistible Combination alongside her co-star Michael Park in 2005. Her first Daytime Emmy win was in 2007 for Outstanding Lead Actress.

In 2010 West and her longtime onscreen acting partner, Michael Park won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor. It was ironic as this super couple won their awards on the same year that As the World Turns no longer exist.
