Miss USA 2010 – Hot Girls Pageant

Miss USA 2010, the 59th Edition of the Miss USA pageant will be at the Theater for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on 16 May 2010. The winner will represent the United States in the Miss Universe competition 2010. Miss USA 2009, Kristen Dalton from North Carolina, will crown her successor at the end of this event. The 50 states and the District of Columbia will compete for the coveted title and the pageant will be broadcast live on NBC.

The pageant is co-hosted by Australian celebrity chef Curtis Stone, and today show correspondent Natalie Morales. Color commentary will be provided by Joan and Melissa Rivers. Pop-rock band Boys Like Girls will be carried out during the swimsuit competition and country music star Trace Adkins perform during the evening gown competition. Stone, Adkins and rivers have all appeared on Donald Trump’s TV show Celebrity Apprentice.

Kristen Dalton and Chet Buchanan hosted the Miss USA 2010 Presentation Show. For the first time in Miss Universe last year, the Miss USA 2010 preliminary competition was webcast live on Ustream (on www.missusa.com) at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on 12 May 2010.

The competition was broadcast in high definition for the third time in history.

Delegates of the fifty states plus the District of Columbia competed in the pageant, and came to Las Vegas on 3 May

Pageants were from June 2009 to January 2010 rather than to select the representatives for each state. During the last show on 16 May the fifteen participants with the highest average score from the preliminary round were announced. The top fifteen competed in the swimsuit competition. The Top Ten of the delegates competed in swimsuit and in evening dress. The Top Five delegates from the evening gown competition (not averaged composite scores from both competitions competed) in the final question round to determine the winner. The judges’ composite score was shown after each round of competition for the fourth time since 2002.
